KOREAN VETERANS BLVD CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS UPDATE

Good news!  The Project is substantially complete!  All plant material and the associated irrigation system are complete!  Street lights are now operational and intersection traffic signals are being tested.  Aerial and underground utility work is complete as well as roadway paving.  Hardscape elements such as benches and trash receptacles are complete and installed and pavement markings will be completed when the weather allows. 

For your safety please be aware that KVB between the roundabout and 4^th Avenue South remains completely closed to pedestrians and vehicle traffic due to ongoing local construction activity. 

The roundabout, Lafayette Street and 8^th Avenue South are open to pedestrian and vehicle traffic but, for your personal safety, you are urged to be alert for construction vehicles that may still be moving in the area!

KOREAN VETERANS BLVD CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS UPDATE

Project completion is drawing near!  Nearly all of the trees and plant material and the associated irrigation system along KVB and the roundabout are completed and the landscape looks great!  Utility work is nearly complete with some work still ongoing on Clark Place.  Street lighting installations are complete along KVB, Lafayette Street and 8^th Avenue South and the lights look great in the evening!  Roadway asphalt operations and lane stripping are nearly complete.  The 2 lanes of the roundabout are now fully open as well as Lafayette Street and 8^th Avenue South!  Some sidewalk work still remains to be done in the roundabout area so pedestrians are urged to remain on the ped detour route via 9^th Avenue South.  Please see the Ped Detour Map on the KVB Homepage.
